Studio 1234 is committed to assisting Canadian Artists by providing an affordable opportunity to showcase their work. The studio strives to show the diversity and significance of art work created in Canada and with this end in mind invites both emerging and established artists with passion and commitment to their art, working in painting, photography, printmaking, sculpture or mixed media are invited to submit samples of available work. Please include a brief bio and a list of the titles, medium and sizes of your work. Images or link to a website sent by email, or hard copy images / slides sent by mail with stamped self-addressed envelop for return mail will be accepted. Please include dimensions of the work.

Eve Kharag an artist from the UK will be exhibiting her "Cyprus Series". A series of works she created in Cyprus. Her work, born out of the places she has visited, the atmospheres, textures, symbols and language which is often created by working in traditional oils as well as works on paper.(Click here for more info on Eve Kharag)

 

August 21 - September 3
Photographer Paul Sherlock will exhibiting a series of landscapes inspire from his homelan in Ireland. His photography captures the charm of the country and it's people.

Brock Village Art Appreciation Society (BVAAS)

Studio 1234 is initiated and hosting the Brock Village Art Appreciation Society (BVAAS)
The Society will be a Social event that invites people with interest in the arts to attend and socialize, share ideas with people with similar interests. The topics may vary and will surround the arts including the Canadian art as well as worldwide both past and present. We will meet once a month to discuss art to share knowledge and ideas about art, art appreciation, art history, art trends with additional wine and cheese events, field trips to various artistic venues and events. Time of the gatherings to be announced depending on a convenient night for the majority of responders.

Marketing Internship
Studio 1234 is committed to assisting Canadian Artists by providing an affordable opportunity to showcase their work. The studio strives to show the diversity and significance of art work created in Canada and with this end in mind invites bright energetic individuals to promote the Studio, Exhibitions and artwork and other services the studio provides.
We would like to get some fresh inovative ideas for the gallery to increase it's patronage and work towards promoting the artists work that exhibit at the studio. This is a volunteer position but Studio 1234 will highly recommend worthy volunteers as well as give them recognition for their contributions to the gallery.

We are also looking for art lovers/ volunteers for other duties such as working on the website, assistants at the gallery, there is work with the public sitting in the gallery to speak to people that come to the gallery etc.

The qualifications we require is that the individual have an interest in the arts, interest in rising to the challenges of promoting a new art gallery in essence building something through their innovations ideas and work -with some computer and internet familiarity.

Art by Lucinda Knowlton's web site consists of drawings, oil paintings and pastel drawings by the Canadian artist. Her interests in fine art and realistic art covers wildlife art, portraits of people, horses and pets, abstract art, still life, the human figure, as well as a variety of subjects that inspire the artist. The web site also includes free tutorials, helpful links for artists, book reviews and is constantly being updated with more information and artwork. She aims to promote wildlife preservation, environmental protection through her work. This site includes her oil paintings and pastel of horses and ponies. Her wildlife page consists of drawings of elk, black bear cub, owl, swan, fox, eagle, fawn of a white-tailed deer, racoon, penguins, cougars or puma, elephants, tiger and alligator. The pets page consist of drawings, oil paintings and pastel paintings of beagles, cats, greyhounds and other dogs and cats. Other works of Lucinda include, a pastel painting of a homeless man titled lost soul, flowers, roses, portraits of children, baby, cherries, boatwreck, seascape, harpist, artist, cityline, abstracts, small sculptures, and nudes.
